The following is a tutorial of how a digital painting is created. Most of the members on dA have some level of understanding of how a digital painting is made, which varies from basic to detailed, and in many cases experienced, for you have the ability yourself to create paintings in this wonderful digital medium. However in my community, friends and family for example have taught me that the concept can be a little bit foreign and difficult to describe without physically deomonstrating. This tutorial was made to fill the gaps, and paint a picture, so that everyone can have an understanding of how its done.

There are many tricks to the trade, and the quality of the final piece relies heavily on how practiced the artist is (most importantly) although the equipment and programs being used can play a part. The method however, is basically the same.
